Cancellation policy

What you pay, when you pay it, and what happens if the trip falls through.

Paying for a stay

  • The stay is paid in full when you book. That is what confirms the reservation.
  • There is nothing further to pay before you arrive.

Cancelling

  • Cancel 21 days or more before your arrival date and there is no penalty.
  • Cancel between 14 and 21 days before arrival and 50% of the total is charged.
  • Cancel less than 14 days before arrival and 100% of the total is charged.

If something happens that nobody planned for

A government closes a border, a hurricane arrives, somebody is taken into hospital. The terms above are what we hold you to normally, and this is the part where we do not.

Write to us as soon as you know. We will look at what happened, what we can still fill and what we cannot, and we will tell you plainly what we can do. That is usually a credit against another set of dates, sometimes a refund, and occasionally neither.

We would rather say that than publish a policy that promises more than we can pay out on.

If we have to cancel

If we cancel your stay for any reason, you get everything you have paid back in full. If we can put you in one of the other houses instead, we will offer that first.
